Manufactured in Birmingham during WW2, these 10-inch Lightning Kynhook zip fasteners served as the front chest closure on British airborne Denison smocks. Issued to paratroopers and Commandos, the half-length design allowed quick ventilation while keeping the smock secure under parachute harness webbing.

Each fastener features interlocking metal alloy teeth mounted on dense herringbone weave cotton tape. The robust puller carries original factory stampings, engineered to resist jamming in wet combat conditions.
