Historical Design
Issued to Hungarian military forces, the 39/49 M. Tájoló compass was built for reliable land navigation. It features a robust Bakelite body and a protective olive-green metal lid that stands up to severe weather and heavy field use.
Field Navigation
The flip-top metal cover opens to reveal a sighting mirror and notch system, allowing you to align your target while reading the dial. The cover also includes a 5 cm measuring scale along the edge for fast distance calculations on topographic maps.
Protective Leather Case
Each compass comes with its original pebbled brown leather pouch featuring a secure stud fastener and neck lanyard. It keeps your compass clean and protected from impact when you are out hiking, bushcrafting, or collecting historical gear.

This item was used by the Hungarian Army during the WWII (1939–1945) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
