These genuine German Army shoulder boards represent the rank of Stabsunteroffizier (Junior Sergeant). Worn on service dress jackets (Dienstanzug), each board features the distinctive closed metallic tresse braid border introduced in 1962.
Service Branch Identification
Made on a sturdy anthracite wool base, each board includes coloured wool felt piping (Waffenfarbe) along the edge to show branch of service. Integrated fabric slip-on tabs with reinforced buttonholes allow secure mounting to tunic epaulettes without sewing.
Restoration and Display Utility
Supplied as matched pairs in Grade 1 used surplus condition, these insignia show authentic military character. They provide the finishing detail for Cold War uniform restorations, militaria displays, or custom jacket embellishments.
