These rugged boots were originally issued to the German Bundeswehr for grueling mountain operations. Haix made the uppers from thick, hydrophobic full-grain black leather (2.5mm to 2.7mm). It repels water naturally and resists tears on sharp rocks, giving you a tough, reliable barrier that easily outperforms flimsy modern civilian hiking footwear.

All-Weather Protection

To keep you dry, they have a three-layer GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining that stops rain and mud while letting your feet breathe. This works with the built-in Haix Climate System, which uses your natural walking motion to pump hot, damp air out through vents in the collar. Heavy-Duty Vibram Sole

For footing on steep, muddy slopes, you get a self-cleaning Vibram outsole. This rubber and PU compound resists oil, petrol, and heat. There is also a thick, protective rubber rand wrapped around the toe and heel to shield the leather from scuffs. Underneath, a stiff shank provides a supportive platform that cushions your feet under heavy backpack loads.
