Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
This British DPM Respirator Bag is a genuine, unissued military surplus field pack.
Genuine Cold War Heritage
Originally issued to British troops from the late Cold War era onwards, this genuine "Field Pack" (NSN 4240-99-800-9601) was designed to house the standard-issue S10 respirator. Built to survive harsh Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) environments, it is a piece of original UK military history made by specialist contractors like Scott Safety.
Built to Defy the Elements
This pack is made from heavy-duty 1000 Denier IRR Cordura nylon. It features an internal waterproof rubberised lining, an engineering choice that kept sensitive protective equipment dry in the wettest field conditions. The main compartment uses a dual-closure system with strong Velcro and heavy-duty press studs to lock out moisture and dirt.
Versatile Everyday Carry
Whether you are hiking, bushcrafting, or collecting, this haversack is a highly functional utility bag. The rear features PLCE webbing T-bars and a secure stud-flap to lock it onto a standard 57mm belt, while the adjustable shoulder strap makes it an easy daypack. The external pocket is perfect for holding a GPS, torch, or survival tin.
Equip yourself with an unissued British Army classic and secure this rugged DPM field pack for your next outdoor adventure.
This item was used by the British Army during the Post‑Cold War (1991–2000) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.

Grade 1 represents solid, fully functional military surplus that has been deployed or issued but remains in great usable condition with plenty of life left.
- Functionality: 100% field-ready. All main zippers, press studs, drawstrings, and buckles work as intended with no critical faults.
- Fabric & Wear: Structurally sound with light cosmetic wear, minor abrasion, or subtle fading from normal military use and laundering.
- Markings & Personalisation: May feature soldier names, unit numbers, service markings, or light depot stamps written on tags or fabric.
- Repairs: May include neat, professional military-standard stitches or minor reinforcement patches that do not compromise gear integrity.
- Storage & Cleanliness: Gear is serviceable straight out of the box, though a standard initial wash or airing is recommended to clear typical military surplus storage scent and minor handling dust.
A 4-colour disruptive brushstroke pattern composed of curved black, dark brown, and mid-green swabs printed over a khaki-sand field. Engineered to break up the soldier's outline in temperate European woodland, it significantly improved concealment over preceding monotone drab uniforms.
