KEY FEATURES
Protect your hands in freezing conditions with these genuine British Army MTP Goretex mittens.
Military-Grade Weather Defense
These over-mittens are made from genuine British Army Moisture Vapour Permeable (MVP) fabric, which performs just like Gore-Tex. They block driving rain, heavy snow, and freezing wind while letting sweat vapour escape. Issued as the Mittens, Outer, Extreme Cold Weather under NSN 8415-99-313-4694, they keep your hands dry and warm during winter operations.
Dedicated Trigger Finger Design
A key military feature is the separate trigger finger design. This allows you to use your index finger for shooting, operating equipment, or handling tools without exposing your hand to the cold. The inner palm, thumb, and index finger are coated with non-slip, rubber-dot grip patterns, giving you a secure hold on trekking poles, tools, or outdoor gear in wet weather.
Adjustable Layering Fit
Designed as outer protective shells, these mittens feature a spacious fit to easily slide over your favourite thermal liners or wool gloves. An adjustable webbing wrist strap with a quick-release tension buckle keeps them secure. The extended gauntlet cuff has an elasticated drawcord with toggle lock to seal out snow and prevent cold draughts from getting inside your sleeves.
Rugged MTP Camouflage
Finished in official British Multi-Terrain Pattern (MTP), these mittens provide excellent concealment across varied environments. Supplied in Grade 1 (Grade A) issued condition, they show only minor cosmetic wear, with all plastic clips and fastening straps fully functional. They are perfect for bushcraft, winter hiking, and cold-weather camping.
Shield your hands from the freezing elements with these genuine British military winter over-mittens.

Grade 1 represents solid, fully functional military surplus that has been deployed or issued but remains in great usable condition with plenty of life left.
- Functionality: 100% field-ready. All main zippers, press studs, drawstrings, and buckles work as intended with no critical faults.
- Fabric & Wear: Structurally sound with light cosmetic wear, minor abrasion, or subtle fading from normal military use and laundering.
- Markings & Personalisation: May feature soldier names, unit numbers, service markings, or light depot stamps written on tags or fabric.
- Repairs: May include neat, professional military-standard stitches or minor reinforcement patches that do not compromise gear integrity.
- Storage & Cleanliness: Gear is serviceable straight out of the box, though a standard initial wash or airing is recommended to clear typical military surplus storage scent and minor handling dust.
This multi-terrain pattern blends earthy tones of brown, green, and tan, incorporating distinct brushstroke-like shapes derived from traditional DPM with the color gradient of MultiCam. Designed for versatile concealment across diverse environments, it was developed to replace separate woodland and desert uniforms for consistent effectiveness in mixed operational landscapes, notably in Afghanistan.
