Historical Origins
Approved on 10 May 1944, this shoulder sleeve insignia was worn by the Eighth United States Army during World War II Pacific campaigns and later in South Korea. The unit earned the title "Amphibious Eighth" after executing dozens of major island landings across the Pacific theatre.
Design & Embroidery
The patch features a white cross pattée over an octagonal red field, representing command authority and the unit's numeric designation. Measuring 6cm by 6cm, it is made with dense machine embroidery and a durable backing designed for uniform attachment.
