KEY FEATURES
This is an original Austrian M75 Pea Dot Helmet Cover.
Bundesheer Combat Heritage
This original cover was issued to the Austrian Bundesheer during the Cold War to fit their steel M75 combat helmets. Rather than weaving new fabrics, the military cleverly recycled heavy-duty Zeltbahn tent halves. This resourceful choice means each cover carries authentic military history directly from active tactical service in central Europe.
Dual-Pattern Camouflage
The cover features a clever double-sided print. One side displays the iconic K4 Fleckerlteppich pattern, a brown-dominant pea-dot camo built for mixed European forests. Flip it over to reveal the Steintarnung stone pattern, designed for rocky alpine terrains. This dual-sided design allowed soldiers to adapt instantly to changing landscapes.
Rugged Field Utility
Made from a tightly woven cotton-blend canvas, this cover is highly resistant to wind and wear. A built-in elasticised hem holds the cover tight on your helmet without any metal clips to rattle or break. It is ideal for bushcraft, airsoft, or protecting your classic steel helmet collection from field scratches.
Complete your Cold War helmet setup with this original Austrian dual-pattern cover.
This item was used by the Austrian Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.

Grade 1 represents solid, fully functional military surplus that has been deployed or issued but remains in great usable condition with plenty of life left.
- Functionality: 100% field-ready. All main zippers, press studs, drawstrings, and buckles work as intended with no critical faults.
- Fabric & Wear: Structurally sound with light cosmetic wear, minor abrasion, or subtle fading from normal military use and laundering.
- Markings & Personalisation: May feature soldier names, unit numbers, service markings, or light depot stamps written on tags or fabric.
- Repairs: May include neat, professional military-standard stitches or minor reinforcement patches that do not compromise gear integrity.
- Storage & Cleanliness: Gear is serviceable straight out of the box, though a standard initial wash or airing is recommended to clear typical military surplus storage scent and minor handling dust.
Characterized by dense clusters of irregular dots and blotches in shades of dark maroon, pea green, and brown, set against a pinkish-grey or khaki field. Designed for concealment in Central European forested environments, it was heavily influenced by World War II German 'Erbsenmuster' dot camouflage concepts.
