KEY FEATURES
This is a genuine British Army DPM Woodland Combat Body Armour Cover.
Military Protection History
Originally issued in the early 1990s during operations in Bosnia and the Gulf, this genuine British Army Combat Body Armour (CBA) cover represents a major step in soldier protection. It was designed to upgrade standard fragmentation vests by adding external pockets for hard ceramic plates. This temperate Woodland DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) vest became iconic.
Field-Ready Construction
This vest is made from a rugged cotton-polyester blend that stands up to heavy field wear. It features dual overlapping front flaps with a strong hook-and-loop closure and a top press stud. Adjustable side webbing straps let you modify the fit over bulky layers. A central chest rank slide with a secure button adds traditional military functionality.
Modern Utility & Airsoft Use
While sold purely as an unpadded cover, this vest is ideal for historical reenactment, paintball, and airsoft. The spacious front and rear plate pockets are perfect for carrying maps, flat notebooks, or custom foam inserts. Its military-grade fabric offers far greater durability than civilian alternatives, making it a reliable layer for bushcraft.
Add this genuine piece of British military history to your gear collection or tactical setup.
This item was used by the British Army during the Post‑Cold War (1991–2000) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.

- Functionality: 100% field-ready. All main zippers, press studs, drawstrings, and buckles work as intended with no critical faults.
- Fabric & Wear: Structurally sound with light cosmetic wear, minor abrasion, or subtle fading from normal military use and laundering.
- Markings & Personalisation: May feature soldier names, unit numbers, service markings, or light depot stamps written on tags or fabric.
- Repairs: May include neat, professional military-standard stitches or minor reinforcement patches that do not compromise gear integrity.
- Storage & Cleanliness: Gear is serviceable straight out of the box, though a standard initial wash or airing is recommended to clear typical military surplus storage scent and minor handling dust.
A 4-colour disruptive brushstroke pattern composed of curved black, dark brown, and mid-green swabs printed over a khaki-sand field. Engineered to break up the soldier's outline in temperate European woodland, it significantly improved concealment over preceding monotone drab uniforms.
