These are original Austrian Army double buckle combat boots, issued to troops during the Cold War.
Cold War Alpine Design
Officially designated as the M75 Feldschuh, these boots were developed for the Austrian Armed Forces (Österreichisches Bundesheer) to handle demanding mountain terrain. The double buckle leather collar was introduced to replace separate gaiters, saving transition time in the field while providing elite protection against water, stones, and dirt.
Heavyweight Leather Build
Made from 2mm-thick full-grain cowhide, the uppers offer heavy-duty water resistance and a classic appearance. The five-eyelet lower lacing combines with the dual-strap system to secure the ankle, preventing rolled joints during heavy climbs. A tan leather interior lining minimises friction, reducing the risk of blisters during long treks.
Heavy-Duty Standard Sole
These boots feature a direct-moulded rubber standard sole with a deep traction pattern. This design uses circular tread elements for superior grip on wet rocks and loose scree. This makes them highly functional today for bushcraft, hiking, and outdoor work, outperforming modern synthetic boots in durability and overall longevity.

This item was used by the Austrian Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
