Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
Original US Army 88th Infantry Division shoulder sleeve patch.
Historical Origins
This original US Army shoulder insignia belonged to the 88th Infantry Division, famously known as the 'Blue Devils'. Formed from draftees in the Organized Reserve, the unit saw intense combat throughout the Italian Campaign in World War Two, including the breakthrough at the Gustav Line.
Insignia Construction
The patch features a distinctive blue quatrefoil cloverleaf, created by two overlapping figure eights. It is built with dense blue thread embroidery on a fabric base, measuring 5.5cm by 5.5cm. The reverse shows traditional white bobbin backing characteristic of period manufacture.
Collector Utility
Whether you are completing a period-correct US Army tunic restoration or assembling an Italian Campaign display, this original badge adds authentic historical detail. It attaches easily onto wool dress jackets, field uniforms, or shadow box framing.
Secure this original Italian Campaign badge to complete your World War Two uniform display.
