Cold War Field Equipment
Originally issued to French Army forces for the Mle 51 and Modèle F1 combat helmets, this cover is nicknamed the Salade due to its leaf-like pattern. Made from a waterproof plasticised synthetic fabric, it features wavy die-cut slits that break up the hard outline of steel and composite helmets in dense vegetation.
Reversible Dual-Terrain Design
The cover features a reversible green and brown pattern for quick adaptation to woodland or autumn environments. You can easily insert natural foliage, burlap, or scrim into the wavy cuts for extra camouflage. It fits securely using an integrated drawcord with metal rim hooks that attach to thin-rimmed helmets.

This item was used by the French Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
