Genuine Issue Surplus
KEY FEATURES
This genuine Swiss Army folding briefcase is a versatile, multi-purpose bag built for secure storage.
Cold War Swiss Military Issue
Originally issued by the Swiss military during the Cold War as a valise (clothing bag), this rugged carrier served to protect pressed trousers, uniforms, and sensitive documents. Its unique two-way folding design allowed messengers and soldiers to carry it either as a compact attaché briefcase or extend it fully to transport garments without creasing.
Waterproof Vinyl & Steel Catches
Engineered for the demanding alpine climate, the bag is made from heavy-duty, waterproof rubberised vinyl. This textured, olive-green material keeps rain and mud out, protecting your gear, laptop, or folders. A durable internal zip closure runs along the inner sleeve, while dual outer metal latches lock the exterior flap shut to prevent spillage during transit.
Sizing & Adjustable Carry Options
Highly adaptable for modern commuters and bushcrafters, it features an adjustable leather carry handle and a clear ID tag viewing window on the front. At its smallest fold, it measures 40cm x 36cm x 5cm, expanding to 40cm x 65cm x 15cm, and fully opens to 150cm to act as a hanger bag, offering flexible storage solutions for any task.
Equip yourself with this genuine Swiss military briefcase for a waterproof, adaptable organiser built to protect your gear in any environment.
This item was used by the Swiss Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
