Originally issued to the East German Nationale Volksarmee (NVA) during the Cold War era, this load-bearing system is known officially as the Koppeltragegestell. This grey webbing harness was designed to hook directly into the standard combat belt, shifting the heavy load of steel buckles, pouches, and ammunition onto the shoulders to prevent hip strain during long marches.

This item was used by the German Army during the Late Cold War (1961–1991) and is in Grade 1 condition. It is in very good condition with plenty of life left. We recommend giving it a wash before wearing.
